What do we need to take?

Hello everyone,
I have just been thinking about what we will need to carry each day on our trip. I guess it has to be kept to a vital minimum to minimise weight, I don’t really want to be carrying tot. I have never done anything close to this before so am totally out on a limb. I must arrange a meeting with David to discuss...........in the meantime, if any of you readers out there have done anything similar then please ....answers on a postcard. While I wait to hear from you..I will compile a list. Speak to you all soon.

Training run

Hello all, just back from a 9 mile easy run, strangely it didn't feel none too easy...which is a bit of a concern. I know the snow & ice make it really difficult & I haven't run for a while but somehow it highlighted to me just how tough this "adventure" is going to be...note to self "I really must step up a gear & lift the training up a level if this is going to be a success". To run 7 days without a break running in what is in effect 7 mountain marathons back to back, with one day being 37 miles (Patterdale to Kirkby Stephen - 28th June) is going to be quite an achievement!
Take care...John

Happy Christmas

Hi all,
Its Christmas day! Santa was kind enough to bring me a new Montane ultralight running jacket ready for our adventure, I also have a copy of Matt Beardshall's "life on the run: Coast to coast" which is going to be read very soon. I have also just discovered that the modern coast to coast route is now more like 200 miles due to a few course changes, some parts are now private land so are now inaccessible and some changes are down to erosion, oh and final booking confirmation came through yesterday...happy days!

Merry Christmas all.
